Ultra Energy was honoured to give a senior member of the UK parliament a tour of its manufacturing facilities in Wimborne. Tobias Ellwood MP is chairman of the UK government’s Defence Select Committee and a supporter of investment in new nuclear capacity to increase the supply of reliable, low carbon energy for the UK. He was accompanied by the Mayor of Bournemouth, our nearest major town, Councillor Robert Lawton.
Ultra Energy is a high growth, nuclear safety solutions business that plays an important role in the UK’s strategic nuclear deterrent, as well as in the safe operation of current and future nuclear power stations. Both these areas are of significant national importance and fall within Mr. Ellwood’s areas of interests.
During the visit, Ultra Energy’s President, Ognjen Starovic, showed our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and introduced them to our skilled nuclear scientists and engineers, highlighting the role of companies like ours in creating high value local career opportunities, as well as our strategic importance within the UK’s critical nuclear industry.
